Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of therapy do you offer?
I help people untangle patterns in their relationships, their self-talk, and their everyday lives. My style mixes humanistic “come as you are” vibes with practical cognitive-behavioral tools. That means we’ll talk things through, but we’ll also get into real strategies for changing thoughts and behaviors that keep you stuck.
Who do you work with?
I see both adolescents and adults. Many of my clients deal with perfectionism, anxiety, depression, or the pressure of always having to “perform” — whether that’s online, at work, or just in everyday life.
What happens in a session?
Every session is its own thing, but expect a mix of conversation, reflection, and practice. Sometimes that looks like role-playing tricky situations, working through thought patterns, or exploring how your relationships play out. The goal is simple: a safe space where you don’t have to perform or edit yourself.
How will therapy help me?
Therapy gives you a chance to hit pause on the mental loop and test-drive new ways of thinking and relating. Most people notice they feel less stuck, more confident in communication, and better equipped to handle the ups and downs of daily life.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. I use secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms so you can join sessions privately from anywhere in Florida. Virtual therapy makes it easier to fit therapy into real life without losing the connection and support you’d get in person.
Where are you licensed to practice?
I’m licensed in the state of Florida. That means I can only see clients who are physically located in Florida during our sessions.
Do you work with crisis or intensive needs?
My practice is strictly outpatient, which means I’m the right fit for ongoing therapy and support. Some needs, like inpatient care, intensive programs, or immediate crisis stabilization, are best served in higher levels of care. If we discover together that a higher level of support is needed, I’ll help connect you to the right resources.
What’s your therapy style?
Supportive, straightforward, and sprinkled with humor. Therapy is serious work, but it doesn’t have to feel heavy every minute. I want you to feel understood, encouraged, and free to try out new ways of being.
What are your fees?
I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can get a sense of my style before committing. Regular sessions are $150.
Do you take insurance?
I have a limited number of insurance slots available. I currently accept a handful of plans through a third-party verification platform. If you’d like to use insurance, we’ll check eligibility together before scheduling.
What if I’m in crisis?
If you are in crisis or need immediate support, please do not wait for an appointment. Call or text 988 to connect with the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, dial 911 in an emergency, or go to your nearest emergency room.
